Vitamin A is great for anti-ageing, however in its usual forms it comes with negative side effects. Topical retinoids (retinol, retinyl esters, tretinoin for example) are usually synthetic and/or not suitable for vegans. They can causing redness, burning sensations and peeling, especially if you have sensitive skin. They can also make skin more sensitive to sun damage, so should be used at night.
Natural vitamin A alternatives offer the anti-ageing benefits, without the nasty side effects. Carotenoids (antioxidants such as beta-carotene, lycopene and lutein) are converted to retinoic acid, which repairs, strengthens and even protects against UV damage.

- Massage a few drops into clean skin morning and/or night.

- Pumpkin Seed: Rich in enzymes and AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids, which smooth, brighten and rejuvenate skin. Vitamins A, C and E as well as minerals zinc and magnesium nourish and repair.
- Rosehip Seed : Contains high levels of GLA (gamma linolenic acid) as well as Omegas 6 and 9, which are perfect for dry, dull and irritated skin. Vitamins A and C combat redness, dark marks and help even out skin tone.
- Bakuchi Seed: Contains Bakuchiol, a gentle, non-irritating alternative to retinol. It boosts collagen production, reduces fine lines and protects against UV and environmental damage.
- Sea Buckthorn: Vitamins A, C, E and K along with Omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9 work to reduce inflammation, repair damage, lock in moisture and improve skin appearance.
- Bergamot: Soothes inflammation and balances sebum production for a healthy, glowing complexion.
- Vitamin E: A natural, deeply moisturising antioxidant that protects the skin and prevents dryness.
